Video Productions Faqs

Why should I have a video on my site?

The online world is changing and people are no longer willing to put up with large blocks of text on websites. Video is replacing text and images as the ideal form of web content: 55% of people watch videos online every single day, 75% of internet traffic this year will be made up of videos and 88% of marketers say that video is a key part of their marketing strategy.

It’s not just web users who appreciate the importance of audio-visual content online, search engines have recently begun to promote sites that include video. Your website is 53 times more likely to show up first in a Google search if it has just one video, making video advertising a must-have if you want to improve your SEO.

How much does it cost?

We offer several package deals, depending on the type of video that you need. Other factors like the length, location and format of the video will also impact cost and by giving us an idea of your budget, we can discuss your options to give you the best possible value for money.

What makes Visual Production Agency different?

Unlike many production companies, we keep our clients informed at every stage of the project. You can always contact our team to discuss changes to the message or the budget of your video. We know how important it is to get your video right, so we give you the chance to view the raw footage and decide which parts you want to include. We will even give you a follow-up call after your video starts getting views, to give you some tips on improving your video marketing strategy.

Do I need to provide a script?

During our consultation, we will discuss whether a script is necessary for your video. You have the option to write one yourself or we can create one for you based on your message.

What do I need to prepare before the initial consultation?

There’s no need to bring documents or detailed plans to the first meeting, but we will gladly look over any documents you do have. The most important things to have in mind are the message of your video and what you want it to achieve. Also, it would be great to have a rough idea of your budget, so we can figure out the type of video that would suit your organisation best.

If you have a video in mind that is similar to the style that you want for your project, we’d be happy to watch it and give you feedback. Alternatively, we can show you some of our work and you can let us know what appeals to you.

How involved will I need to be throughout the process?

Our initial consultation will lay the groundwork for the video production process and we can schedule additional meetings before filming begins if necessary. We are always contactable through phone and email to make changes, giving you the option to pick clips that you like from time coded footage and offering you options with the colors and logos.

Do you provide training for people who have never been on camera before?

Who do we work with?

Our clients have ranged from SME business owners to larger organizations and city councils from all over Victoria. We have worked closely with a number of educational establishments, such as La Trobe University and have created advertisements for TV shows including Luxury Escapes.

Whether your project is as small as a 30 second green screen broadcast or as big as a series of twenty video interviews, just book in an initial consultation and we’ll see what we can do.

Can we use employees or do we need to hire talent?

This really depends on the type of video you are looking to produce. We find that working with small groups of employees can be good in a training video or in our smaller video productions, as they know a lot about the workplace and will have a down-to-earth appeal for audiences, who will recognise that they’re just ordinary people.

For a TV or Film advert, it is always better to go with talent who have had experience in front of the camera. They will be able to work quickly and efficiently to get the high quality footage that you need for the big screen. We are open to discussing your options when it comes to who will be in your videos, so give us a call if you’d like to talk about this.

Can I choose the actors/presenters for my video?

We have a wide range of professional actors who we work with on multiple projects and if your video requires a presenter or actors, you will be involved in the decision making process to choose who they will be.

Do I have to put my video on YouTube?

It’s not a requirement, but we definitely recommend that you share your video across your organisation’s social media channels. This is a free and easy way to get your video seen and YouTube’s reach is growing extremely quickly. 60% of people prefer viewing video on social media platforms to watching television and that number is only going to grow in the coming years.
